The stock nozzle wiping sequences leave a lot to be desired, so I fixed them. This custom G-code replaces the stock start and filament-change scripts with a faster, cleaner start and a cleaner color-change sequence. It needs no printed attachments or aftermarket wipers, and it works with Bambu Studio and Orca Slicer. It works best with PLA. No more hot purge waste dragged across your bed.

What it does

• Fast start: The bed and nozzle heat at the same time, and the lengthy bed scraping and LiDAR scanning steps are skipped. You start printing sooner and the nozzle stays cleaner.
• Smart nozzle parking: At the end of each print, the nozzle is parked a few centimeters closer to the front of the printer. When the printer homes at the start of the next print, the nozzle doesn’t drag across the wiper, which keeps filament from curling up onto the nozzle.
• Custom cooling routine: After an AMS color swap and purge, a custom filament cooling routine helps your filament snap cleanly.
• Purge chute taps: The additional purge chute taps mean dramatically fewer purge chute clogs.
• Zero hardware mods: There are no printed parts to clutter your toolhead. The only thing you need is a small piece of aluminum tape inside your purge chute to help the filament not stick to the side of the chute.

Requirements

• Bambu Lab X1C or P1S
• 0.4 mm nozzle
• AMS unit installed
• Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer (to use Orca Slicer, you can downgrade your printer firmware; check the printer tips page for steps on how to do this)
• Small piece of aluminum tape for the purge chute
